Camp Fire

With a maximum of 157 construction crews, IMS led field operations in the clean up of over 13,000 properties burnt in the Camp Fire (Paradise, CA). This included the oversight of three parallel ICS command structures throughout the incident

Burning over 100,000 acres through Malibu and the Santa Monica mountains, the Woolsey-Hill fire destroyed over 1,500 structures. In the aftermath, the area continued to suffer from mudslides and flooding. Alongside Cal Recycle, IMS aided in technical consulting to clean these properties often on difficult terrain and access areas.

In the summer of 2018, the Carr Fire burned over 220,000 acres, taking 1,820 structures along with it. IMS Technical Specialists responded to the Debris Removal incident in division supervisory roles.

Over Nevada, Yuba and Butte Counties, the Wind Complex Fires burned 17,037 acres and destroyed 398 structures combined. IMS Technical Specialists served in an operations leadership role to get these communities to a place where they could rebuild.

In September 2015, the Valley Fire tore through 50,000 acres in it's first 24 hrs. By the time it was contained, the fire burned over 76,000 acres, destroying almost 2,000 structures. IMS Technical Specialists served in division roles to facilitate the  cleanup process in the Lake County community

The Boles fire burned 516 acres and destroyed 165 structures in September 2015. IMS responded in a branch director role to clean up over 140 residential sites in less than 2 months.

In the Fall of 2018, IMS President, then Assistant Chief of Pattonville Fire Department, responded to the fire at the Bridgeton/Westlake Landfill in Missouri. The fire made for a complex incident, with heavy fuels and hazardous materials involved.

IMS consultants were brought to Panama in 2013 to contribute to forming a suppression plan and first responder training to put out the Cerro Patacon Landfill fire in Panama City

In 2010, a natural gas pipeline buried under a San Bruno suburb exploded. In the recovery effort, IMS Tecnical Specialist Jim Christian served as a Branch Director to help restore over 30 lots to build-able status in just over two weeks.
